Leslie was born in 1916. [1]He married In 1943[2]
“WEDDING LE PAGE—HAWARD On 8th January at St. Agnes. Glenhuntly , the marriage was celebrated of Lorna Florence, daughter of the late Mr. A. H. Haward and of Mrs Sly, of Caulfield, to Pilot-Officer Leslie A., youngest son of Mr. and Mrs G. A. Le Page. Violet Town. The bride, who was given away by her step-father, wore a gown of white Honiten lace over satin. She carried a bouquet of water lilies and her tulle veil was held in place with the same flowers. Miss Valma Sly was bridesmaid, and wore a gown of blue frosted organdie. She carried a bouquet of pink gerberas and carnations, with blue hydrangeas. Pilot-Officer Peter Barlow was best. man. After the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride's parents.”[3]
Les served with the RAAF during World War 2, [4] and after the war, Les worked as a motor mechanic, operating an automotive garage in High Street, Violet Town, Victoria. After leaving Violet Town and moving to Croydon, Les worked in hardware store McEwan’s before retiring.
Leslie passed away in Croydon in June 2002. [5]
He is remembered at Springvale Botanucal Cemetery.[6]
